New expert centre for technology & law in Brainport Eindhoven
Knowledge centre for technology & law
In technology region Brainport Eindhoven, a new highbrow expertise centre on technology and law has been established. The centre Brainport Centre for Technology & Law is designed as a meeting place and connection point of technology, innovation and enterprise with the law.
Also, the centre can serve as a channel to communicate desirable changes in laws and regulations to the government.
Entrepreneurs, companies and professionals working in technology, manufacturing and innovation are expressly invited to join the association.
Arbitration institute for technology
In addition, in the course of this year an arbitration institution under the name Brainport Technology Arbitration Institute will become operational. The objective of the institute is to provide appropriately qualified mediation and arbitration facilities in technology disputes.
Initiators
Louwers IP|Technology Lawyers is one of the initiators. Ernst-Jan Louwers is a member to the board, along with some other legal service providers and representatives of TU Eindhoven and Tilburg University. The aim is explicitly to involve the industry. The association was created with the cooperation of Philips IP&S and the municipality of Eindhoven.
Launch
Discover this new platform where technology and law come together and where exchange of knowledge leads to the facilitation of innovative developments. And also hear the approach to establish an arbitration institute of technology disputes.
